Take Your Daughter To The Course Week is July 10-16, 2006
The NGOCA invites you to take part in Take Your Daughter to the Course Week, scheduled July 10-16. Take Your Daughter to the Course Week is designed to introduce junior girls to the game and encourage family interaction on the course.
Courses participating in the program agree to offer free greens fees and a free instructional clinic to junior girls who are accompanied by a paying adult. In addition, many courses will conduct special events such as fashions shows and tournaments to enhance the experience for participants. Courses hosting Take Your Daughter to the Course Week will receive free publicity through the consumer websites www.playgolfamerica.com and www.getlinkedplaygolf.com and in national publications. Courses will also receive a toolkit of promotional material and helpful ideas explaining how to promote the event. Golf Courses must register to be recognized as hosts of the event and to receive the free promotional toolkit. Click here to register you course.
Take Your Daughter to the Course Week is supported by The PGA of America, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, LPGA and the Executive Women’s Golf Association. Brad Faxon, PGA Tour player and winner of the 2005 Payne Stewart Award, is the national spokesperson for the 2006 event.
“As a PGA Tour player and the father of four daughters, I understand the importance of attracting more girls to the game of golf,” says Brad Faxon. “Take Your Daughter to the Course Week is a great way for golfers to get involved in player development and to share their favorite sport with their favorite girls.”
