Course of the Year

Congratulations to Northampton Country Club -
our NEGCOA 2024 Course of  the Year
and the NGCOA Jemsek National Course of the Year Winner!

Last summer, unbeknownst to owners Jim and Chrissy Casagrande, their daughter Anna started working on a Course of the Year application for the club.   Anna has grown up watching her parents working in the industry and acheiving their goal of golf course ownership in recent years. She felt that the club where she has worked and watched her parents efforts was worthy of consideration for the award.  The Casagrandes were marking a significant milestone for the club as it reached a milestone anniversary -- 125 years.

The review committee met and voted to give the COY award to Northampton CC.  Needless to say, Jim was shocked when I shared the news with him.  During the 2023 NEGCOA Annual Meeting and Conference at Renaissance, it was announced that Northampton Country Club in Leeds, MA was the winner.  Jim and Christine were on-hand to accept the award. It was then announced that their application was successful in advancing to National consideration. And Rachel Carter, Sr. Dir of Membership for the NGCOA, announced that the club was the 2024 Jemsek National Course of the Year. This award will be presented at the Golf Business Conference in Orlando in January.   Congratulations to the Casagrande Family and the entire staff!!!  A well deserved win.
