Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Massachusetts Golf Day on Friday, March 20 from 9:30am-12:00pm at the Massachusetts State House.

A festive and informative day is planned as members from the Massachusetts Golf Industry meet with our state Senators and members of the House of Representatives in recognition of the positive impact the game and business of golf have on the Commonwealth.

Based on a 2012 study by SRI International, the state's direct golf economic impact is approximately $2.7 billion per year, supporting more than 25,500 jobs and $796.8 million in annual wage income. Massachusetts is home to about 376 golf courses located across the state and nearly 70% are open for public play.

The half-day event will feature attendees from not only our NEGCOA Chapter but also other leading industry organizations such as  Deutsche Bank Championship, Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, GCSANE, MGA, NECMA, NEGA, NEPGA and the WGAM.

A continental breakfast will kick off the day.  Followed by a press conference and then time for putting lessons, full swings in the hitting bays, and a quick golf lesson. And more importantly, time to network with your legislators!!!

Events will be taking place in the Nurse's Hall and the Grand Staircase.
